Arnold, who was born in Austria, has become a well known actor, bodybuilder, and politican over the years. He started out bodybuilding when he was a teenager and won the Mr. Universe title when he was 20. He then went on to win Mr. Olympia seven times, putting his name on the bodybuilding map.
In addition to bodybuilding, he turned to acting and had his first breakthrough role in the 1982 film, ‘Conan the Barbarian’. What became his most famous role, however, was in James Cameron’s ‘Terminator’ franchise, which first premiered in 1984. Since then, Arnold has appeared in many other high profile films, including ‘Twins’, ‘Kindergarten Cop’, and ‘True Lies’.
He served as the 38th Governor of California from 2003-2011 and was then succeeded by Jerry Brown. Arnold married Maria Shriver in 1986 and they later divorced in 2011. They had four children together, Katherine, in 1989, Christina, in 1991, Patrick, in 1993, and Christopher, in 1997. He also had son, Joseph Baena, in 1997, with household employee Mildred Patricia Baena.
